CINEMA WEST - MASON CITY, IA
Mason City’s growth westward includes this multi-screen theatre building designed by Accord in 1999. The building envelope is comprised of precast concrete wall panels and steel roof structure. A large, back-lit, horizontal-blade louver is used above the sleek curved entry structure. This signage louver is a reminder of once popular outdoor drive-in movie theatres, including one that was formerly located not far from this theatre site...

The Story County Fairgrounds barn remodel looked at updating an existing Fair Ground barn and converting it into a new reception hall for the whole town of Navada. The project finished beautifully and provided a great space to host events for the community.

The Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino in Opelousas, Louisiana has so much to offer the gambling enthusiast. THEATRE/CINEMA DESIGN
One of Accord Architecture Company's specialties is the design of cinema theatres throughout the mid-west. Many have been constructed, while other designs were conceptual in nature only. Accord's work includes designs for Iowa theatres in Mason City, Waterloo, and Iowa City, as well as Nebraska theatres in Norfolk, Columbus, and Kearney.
MESKWAKI PARKING GARAGE - TAMA, IA
Accord Architecture’s diversity in building types continues in the design of this three-level parking ramp, immediately adjacent to the Meskwaki Casino in Tama, IA. A total of 517 parking spaces on a very gradual slope provide the accessibility for people of all ages. The overall design is consistent with the previously established architectural language, including the use of ornate stair and elevator enclosures. This same pattern is used in the design of metal railings that fill the “light gaps”between panels at the upper level of the parking ramp.
GILBERT FIRE STATION & COMMUNITY BUILDING - GILBERT, IA
The City of Gilbert and the Franklin Township formed an alliance to construct this community building with three main elements: the fire station, city hall, and community spaces. A pre-engineered metal building was selected to reduce cost and allow for expansion on the fire engine garage side, should the need arise.
