Sigma Phi Epsilon – ISU
Ames, Iowa
DESCRIPTION
Accord Architecture was hired by the Iowa Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa to determine the feasibility and design a renovation and addition(s) to their existing house, which was built in the early 1900’s. Accord’s design includes new, more expansive study rooms, a new patient sleeping wing (dormitory), renovation of the house-mother apartment, updated finishes and improvements to the infrastructure. As part of this project, Accord suggested to the client that historic preservation funding is achievable. Accord assisted Sig Ep in applying for this Federal and State funding through the State Historical Society of Iowa.
